House Rules

  •  Smoke-Free Property

Casa Costamor is a 100% smoke-free property, both indoors and outdoors. This is to ensure the health and safety of all guests, protect our furnishings, and preserve the natural environment. If you wish to smoke, please do so on the beach. We appreciate your cooperation!

  • No Pets Allowed

While we love animals, Casa Costamor is a pet-free environment. This helps us maintain high standards of cleanliness, protect guests with allergies, and preserve the property for all visitors.

  • Conserve Water & Electricity

Water and power are precious resources in Troncones. We kindly ask you to turn off ceiling fans, air conditioning units, and lights when not in use. Small actions make a big difference and help preserve this beautiful place for generations to come.

  • Always Close Entry Gates

For your security and privacy, please ensure the entry gates are fully closed when entering or exiting the property. This also helps keep local wildlife out and ensures the safety of children and guests...

🍽️ Kitchen Tips

  • Close the Pantry Door at Night

Our kitchen is partially open-air, and insects or critters can sneak in overnight. Please make sure the pantry door is securely closed before going to bed.

  • Rinse Dirty Dishes Before Bed

Even a small amount of leftover food can attract ants and other insects. Rinse and place dirty dishes in the sink before bedtime—our housekeeper will take care of the rest in the morning.

  • Store Food & Fruit Properly

Please remove any fruit bowls or food items from counters and tables each evening and store them in the pantry. This helps keep the kitchen clean and critter-free when you wake up.

Gratuity

Our staff works hard to ensure that your stay at Casa Costamor is comfortable, clean, and memorable. If you feel they’ve provided excellent service, gratuities are always welcome and deeply appreciated.

A suggested amount is $100–$150 pesos per room, per day, split between the housekeeper and groundskeeper.

Whenever possible, we encourage you to hand your tips directly to the staff as a gesture of personal appreciation. If that’s not convenient, we provide clearly labeled envelopes in the house where you can leave your gratuity before departure. Tips in pesos are preferred.

Pool Safety

  • No Diving or Glass Near the Pool

For your safety, diving is not allowed in the pool due to varying depths. Please avoid bringing any glassware into the pool area—broken glass can be extremely dangerous and difficult to clean up around water.

  • Dry Off Before Entering the Palapa or Kitchen

Wet floors can become very slippery. Please use towels to dry off before stepping into the kitchen or palapa areas. This is especially important during rainy weather, when surfaces may be naturally slick.

Other Amenities

  • Daily Cleaning:

Yesi cleans daily (except Sundays/holidays). Linens are changed twice weekly; towels are changed as needed.

  • Safes in Every Suite

Each suite includes a personal safe located inside the cabinet. Instructions for setting your own passcode are provided nearby. If you need help, please don’t hesitate to ask our housekeeper or Claudia.

  • Wi-Fi Information

Wi-Fi details are posted in the living room and bedrooms. If you experience connectivity issues, please check for signal extenders or reach out to our property manager.

  • Security Cameras

There are a few exterior cameras on the property for added peace of mind. These are only active when the house is unoccupied and do not record while guests are present.

  • On-Site Services

Looking to indulge a little more? We offer optional services such as:

General Notes & House Care

  • Kitchen Surfaces & Furniture

    • The stovetop is covered with a custom wood panel—please do not use it as a cutting board. You’ll find several cutting boards and plastic counter protectors in the drawers next to the sink. Our kitchen counters were handcrafted by Mexican artisans and are easily stained by citrus, lime juice, and other ingredients, so we ask for your help in keeping them beautiful.

    • Additionally, please do not move furniture in the palapa area. It’s arranged to maximize comfort and airflow—just relax and enjoy!

  • Closet Doors in the Suites

To open or close the closet doors, simply press gently on the door you wish to open. No need to pull—just a little pressure will do the trick.

  • Toilets

    • Please flush toilet paper only. Do not flush feminine hygiene products, napkins, wipes, or paper towels. Every bathroom is equipped with a trash can for your convenience. Also, please

    • avoid pouring oil, grease, or food scraps down any drain or toilet.

  • Recycling & Trash

You’ll find a recycling bin (for cans and plastic bottles/containers) inside the palapa pantry, directly in front of the fridge. The trash can is hidden inside the countertop—just lift the wooden panel next to the stovetop to access
